Away again.

Hi pretty interesting i have been away again first for a week in Paihia up in the bay of islands, about the first of December. My friend Jean had been offered a timeshare apartment there and her friend also came for a few days. We did lots of sight seeing and tripping around. Went to the Treaty of Waitangi pah and a few of the surrounding Churches, and when we went to Kerikeri, we saw the stone house and other historic places on the site. The highlight of the trip was when Jean decided to see if she could do para sailing, which we found she could, no standing required, just sit on back of boat. All three of us decided it sounded like fun so we went. the para sailing could fit 3 people beside by side so we where able to all go together. what a rush, if you have ever been in a small airplane that does not compare to the rush of fresh air you feel 800ft/or 800m up in the air, it all blowing around you while being towed by the boat. with the occasional shudders as the rope dipped into the water when the boat was turning around.

Now for Christmas, pretty last minute, I decided to go to Wellington to see my brother Adrian, what fun we are having down here as i am righting this. I flew down on Christmas eve at 9pm for the 1hr flight and will be returning home on the first Jan. I spent Christmas day with Adrian, his girlfriend and her family. I felt like i was part of them.
on boxing day we all went to Wellington botanical Gardens to have a walk around and then we took the famous trolley car down to the main center of town for a look around and retail therapy. then its been visiting a few of my brothers friends, swimming and relaxing. Also a suite fitting was organised so I could be sorted for my Brothers wedding early. Its coming up in March

I will finish this when i get home and update a photo or two.

Don't know but it works.

I don't know how things will get better as I feel I can't do what I feel i should be. even though its hard for me, I realise that without Gods help i cannot do it, so I ask for you to come again and help me out without You I cannot do it, I need Your help. Thanks for being there for me.

Thank God for friends.

Wow thank God for great friends who go the extra mile. out of there way to be a blessing. We give to them  without thinking when they give back wow its amazing.

are you complaining again.

  If money was not a problem. and we could have anything we wanted. Would we be truly happy.
  Some people i know of complain about not having enough money even if they earn allot in there job and have way more money than i ever have coming in each week.
  We should be content and happy if we have a little or a lot. its all about attitude. complaining actually brings us down, it turns us ugly inside, and leads to stress, and health issues are bound to crop up.
  Why not be thankful for what you have, where you are, and for being blessed to live in a country where you can get assistance from the government when you loose your job, or cant work.

Always look on the bright side of life. And always look on the light side of life.

CDs Awesome aye

Brought some classical cd on the weekend from the warehouse.  got 3 boxed sets each $9.99 with 5 cds. one was clarinet and flute, other was chamber music and the last was baroque music. will go back in and get few more next pay week.  awesome to have and enjoy.

The warehouse has good deals on things if you take time to look.  JB HiFi is another cheep place to go to.

Might one day bite the bullet and go get some dvds really want to get all the animation ones.  usually i get music cds and dvds.

Ok so it works.

yes it does work. Just do what You need to.   if you trust in God and read your bible daily then it will be a good thing for you.  if not then you will be missing out.   you will never know what it is. I cant tell you, its personal, and its also something you need to find out for yourself. so go for it.  

wow Auckland waterfront rocks

Yesterday i went to the opening of Wynyard Quarter. The new Auckland waterfront attraction. Situated near the new fish market on  It looks so awesome. There is allot me work to be done still. But its going to be great when finished. Darn i should have taken more photos. The new tram is great. Would be nice if it does continue onto Britomart transport centre in town.  Also the new bridge across is so much better than the old one. Everything is so accessible to everyone. Its a must to go take a look.

Trying Times

Sometimes when things happen to us we do wonder why. I think that it is a test from God. He is letting us see how we handle things. And wanting up to trust him more. We may not be aware what is going on at the time. Its easy to react to things without thinking. I often find its only after things have happen and cleared that we can see clearly. Then we can deal with it. This is not always easy, especially if something bad has gone down. We may have to say sorry, or if its not really our fault then we may need to move on. Our reactions and others have consequences. We may have to put our foot down and set healthy boundaries. But over all these things. We should seek the will me our father in heaven. He Will show us what to do.

Have You ever thought.

Have you ever thought where you would like to end up.... I have..... its easy to have a big idea that you want to end up doing...

The process is to right down your ideas so you can see them.  and start thinking about where you would like to end up.  then put aside this lot of ideas and start with one thing.    this may involve research.    first you will also want to share the idea with people you feel who might be able to help you with it..... friends, family, and others you know who could help get the idea of the ground.... IT may involve research, and getting information from people and places you might.. you might find that when you talk to one person they may not be able to help but know others who are.  its all about networking and sharing the ideas.......  when you have gone through this process it will give you an  idea if its plausible.  

after this research you should have drawn up a list of costings, if any, and ideas from your research into how this might work.....................  Go for it.    

be encouraged.

Its time to rise up, and do the things we know we should. Move toward a goal and think of the future. If we always do what we always have things won't change. Think ahead. Never live just in the moment, but stop and think Will this help me end up where i want to be. Or Will it keep me back and never change. Change is hard and life will not be easy. Take a chance and step out and trust that God can help you get there.

I have written this after a friend has gone through a tough time. I hope it will encourage this friend and all who read it.

Productive life pt 2.

continuing on from my last post. do you use a diary or planner for each day. this is a good idea there are many ways to set out a diary. you can buy many sorts including notebooks, specific diaries with day per-page, week in view, month in view, etc or you can get an electronic diary organiser, in a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) you might nave one built into your cellphone or an on-line calendar/diary application.   I prefer to use Google Calendar which also links to my mobile phone. 

now you can start with the things each day that you have to do such as get up have a shower, eat breakfast, pack for the days deities, work, pick up the children, etc the smallest thing is important, especially if you are starting out. when you complete a task tick it off as done. You will be surprised if you wright it down and plan it out then actually follow this you will see how satisfying it is to see how much you did get done that day.  

Productive life pt 1......

its so easy for things in life to get in the way of the important things. such important things are what we have to do.  now how important are they.

1. High importance and high urgency
   
2. Low importance and high urgency 
3. High importance and low urgency 
   
4. Low importance and Low urgency

The first place is High importance and high urgency.
This is the things in life that are most important and have to be done immediately, or some time today. No reasonable person would leave it undone.
 
The second place is Low importance and High urgency.
This is usually our responsibility but not completely urgent but still needs doing.
Find the best time.
 
The third place is High importance and low urgency.
usually these things are proactive we add value to them. These should be a long term positive influence in out lives but sadly often don't.
 
The Forth and final place is Low importance and Low urgency
these are the things that we think are time wasting. the things that become distractions if we focus on them to much.

where do things in your life fit. E.G. work, family, time spent on your computer, watching tv, doing housework, catching up with friends etc. the list goes on.

it has be documented that if we right things down and read them we are more likely to actually do them. things like goal setting. using the 4 principles of what is important wright down where things fit now in your life so you can see them, be honest. next wright down where you feel they should be.
also wright down some goals you would like to achieve and see where they fit.
now if you are planning on going on a trip overseas think what you can do. you can break it down. Brainstorm some things that need to happen for it to take place.
 

• you might set a time you would like to go,
• what you need is the money, could start saving
• would you like to invite anyone
• the things you need to pack
• Passport up to date.

 
the list goes on. You can also fit these goals into the 4 levels of importance above. you might put saving money as a high importance and low urgency. so you put aside a set amount each week.

Things get in the way.

Its so easy for things in life to get in the way of the important things. such important things are what we have to do.  now how important are they.  

1. High importance and high urgency
2. High importance and low urgency 
3. Low importance and high urgency 
4. Low importance and Low urgency

Communion Sermon.

1 Corinthians 11:23-26

What is communion ?

communion is also called “The Lord’s Supper” because of the fact that Jesus started it.

Why do we take communion ?

1. Because Jesus commanded us to, He told us to.
2. So we can remember what Jesus did for us.

• Who knows what Jesus did for us ?
• Jesus died on the cross to pay the price for our sin
• It is embarrassing when someone knows you by name but you can’t remember his or her name. We need reminders.

3. c

God, Who created us, knows that we don’t have the greatest memories.
• Throughout the entire Bible we see that God was always setting up memorials for His people.
• Whenever a significant event would happen, the patriarchs would build an altar.
• When the people of Israel crossed the Jordan River they set 12 stones by the river bank to serve as a memorial to that event.
• Whenever their children walked by and saw the stones the parents would tell them about God’s miraculous entrance for them into the Promise Land.

Every time we communion

• We do it together to help remind each other what Jesus did.

• Jesus left us with a picture so we would never forget.

Life is so good.

Good is this life we live. Blessed are we when God is on your side. Trust in God and He will never get you down.

Queens Birthday Weekend 2011

Hi this weekend is Queens Birthday weekend. My friend Jean was thinking of going away to see some friends and Dropped me of in Tauranga on the way.  Its been nice to get away, came down on Friday morning and arrived here at round 11am. Will be going back on Tuesday morning. Friday was just a nice relaxing time for me to spend away by myself.. Saturday was out and about a trek around a few 2nd hand shops (where I found a great pair of jeans and jacket) and a few places where my mum needed to go. Also Mum insisted on getting me a hair cut (which i must say was needed), feels good to ditch the growing rambling mullet style i was growing and get a really nice shape. then off to see Family Mums twin Aunt Jill and family for dinner and a fun game of Cranium. .........more to come.............

Life Goes On - Why Complain

Life goes on, we can seem to struggle to get enough to live on, but in reality to the rest of the world. New Zealand is not a poor nation, unless the individual chooses to live on the street, there are countless ways to find a decent [lace to live, weather its in a social service like a mission housing, or church ministry such as the salvation army, or methodist  mission even Housing New Zealand, there is always some way to find a good form of accommodation.  I have a friend who does house sitting as a way to find the decentplace to live.  New Zealand is not a poor nation, we are so blessed.  Although I myself have never seen much of the world, I have herd countless accounts from Missionaries who tell of the tragedies facing people around the world, seeing video and photos of how people actually live.

I say we are so blessed even if petrol, food, power and all the basic costs of living, seem to have increase dramatically in the past year. We have nothing to complain about. Our government, no matter who it is, does the best they can. \Do you know what its like to be involved running a country trying to make decisions to sute and better the country based on what you think/feel is best. I have not.

Don't complain, accept that you are privileged to live in such a safe and secure country.

Birthday blessings

wow i have been blessed this weekend, first my mum came up from Tauranga for a few days and we had a great time.  I am thankful that my mum is so encouraging me and helping me do some good cleaning as thats is something she likes to do..  I love her for this.  we worked well together doing this. and i hardly even got angry like i used to do.   also my friend Jean and mum went out to the Takapuna markets then for for brunch today which was nice. and also some friends after church took me out for dinner.

REMINDER: Your Body needs SLEEP! Getting up is much easier when you get plenty of sleep. Getting enough sleep is the key to many of our health issues. Please don't deprive your body of the rest you need. When I started getting restful sleep; my body clutter started going away.

I say look after yourself and you will be better adjusted and more full of life, have more energy and feel better overall.

Is it really what you think.

Its not what you think. Really Just when you think you have something figured out you can easily find that it may not be as you first thought.

Take science for instance. Yes scientists do have the basics worked out. Advances in technology have lead to great advances medically, and they seem to know how things work. Science has observed things and seen how they work. But there comes a point when Science itself gets things wrong. it can ignore the very fundamental things about life. such as how the earth was created. The idea is that it all began with a big bang. But Charles Darwin himself was only a man with an idea, he initially had a reason to question things about religion, and what he thought he new. it was just an idea that he had. others thought it made sense to them with all the big idea that it was. as the years have progressed from this initial idea The Big Bang Theory has grown. People have expanded the ideas brought forth by Darwin and come up with believable evidence that seems to back up what was initially thought of.

The major apposing theory to the Big Bang is Creation Science.Creation Science asumes that there is a Creator to the univers. and thus has some valid points which if looked at objectively might make people think again. There are so many things that general Science does not know. Creation Science or Creationism is rubbished by Scientists and the scientific community mainly because allot of the Creationists become Christians. I have heard someone once say Religion has no place in Science therefore Creation Science cant be true. Then they dont think the evidence is valid, so do not research it to check its validity.

I have heard the basic arguments explained behind both points. And come to the conclusion that creation science is something to think about, look into and research from an outside view, with out any bias either way, then comparing the to of them objectively to make you your mind as to what you believe. Dont just follow the mainstream point of view.

Work.

Today i went to meet a potential client at school. i was impressed by the staff there and was glad to meet him. although he was ok his teacher said it was a good day for him and he can get much worse.  she also recommended that he would ideally need 2 staff working for him because he can get very hard to handle with his behavior problems.

I respect the opinions of his teacher and everyone concerned. although i would like to help out the family i find that it would be to much for me by myself.  so He support worker will talk with them about things to see where we go to from here.  Its good and i am glad to be in this position.

Thanks to God for the opportunity.  I Pray that the family will be catered for and find relief and that the system will work out and be able to support them. God if i am ment to be involved please provide a way.    AMEN.

We can all seek after achievements, to fit in, and to be noticed. how we do this is the key. If we are doing ti with the attitude of praising ourselves does this bring true satisfaction.  it is far better especially as Christians to seek.  a P.H.G. Praise Honor Glory  giving praise honor and glory to Jesus Christ, and also showing this to others around us. to strive for things eternal is far better than to strive for things of this world.

Life is good. It is really how we view it.
1. If we have a good positive outlook then we will be striving forward to better ourselves.
2. If we have a bad negative outlook we will always be disappointed. Our lives will not go well.



Stop and think are you happy where you are in your life. Do you actually like where you are, are you happy in the Joy yu have or do you find you always complain negatively about.  well with our Job we may not like it but still we need to have a good attitude towards it, Turn it into a positive thing.

Linux fun.

Linux is another type of computer operating system, with many different versions, all focusing on slightly different, things.  the fun with linux is that it is totally free, no nasty expensive os to have to buy. just download the os burn it to cd and install.

also the file system, unlike windows, is clean, ordered and structured. this means no need to defrag.

as Linux operating systems are more secure they are less prone, if at all, to viruses. due to them being harder to hack into. and also not being s commercial as windows and mac.

at them moment i am having fun with puppy linux, its a great little os for all sorts of computers both old and new alike.  it makes an old computer fly again. FUN, FUN, FUN

Another Meeting

Today I hade a meeting with my new support worker. It was great to chat to him he has contacts and some more ideas for me to look at getting more work. great. I cant wait to see what eventuates.

3:30 am

Wow is that the time. I can't sleep, got allot on my mind after what happened a few days ago.
I am glad that i have been able to get my house clean. And thank God for helping me on Friday. I was expecting my yearly house inspection, but as i had put my back out given up that day. My neighbor phoned and offered to help. We got allot of the big thing done. Wow. But my housing manager never came. Well i get more time to clean and do even more. Amen. Well back to try get some sleep now as its Sunday, at least church is at 4pm.

Oh and going to the free concert, the new Zealand symphony orchestra is holding, at town hall at 2pm. 

Week of beginnings.

This week was the start of a long process of sorting out my life. I know with God things will become easier. Last week i started cleanig my house again ready for my housing inspection. As I am cleaning i have more of the sense that this is not just going to be a short term fix to get it ready for inspection. but i feel with God there beside me it is easier. I have been finding this a refreshing boost to my system to be doing something to step out and stand up again as a man. its not that easy but it is happening. I am only doing what i can and not doing everything.  even though i get distracted away from cleaning.

Get Serious

Its time to stop Living like a child, being, stubborn, immature full of pride, saying No No No No. i don't want to listen to what people are telling me I don't want to listen to what God is telling me. I know best.

Grow up, stand on my own two feet, and make the first step.

God I can't do it on my own anymore. I need Your help. Please direct me lead me and guide me as to where i need to Go to get the help I need.  Enough is enough.

Don't Neglect your Walk with GOD

Sometimes as we are going through the journey of life, especially as Christians, we can do and say all the right things. We can go to Church, be in ministry, help others, and all kinds of things. but if we do not read our bible, pray and seek God on a regular basis. it all means nothing to us.

First its easy when going to Church to be all positive, and portray that everything is OK, even if its not. We can hear the message preached and even become convicted by what is said, prompting us to go forward for prayer.  None of this is wrong and it can help us get our lives in order. But I must say if we have a hard heart that is not open to dealing with things in life, then all the Church, Prayer and conviction means nothing if we don't do anything with it. 

God is so loving, and He wants the best for us. Out of this love He will gently nudge us in the right direction prompting us, ever so gently, that we need to change. God does not want to hurt us, he only wants the best for us. God uses things like Church sermons, Good Friends and other propel, and circumstances to do this.  If we will not listed to this gentle leading, and neglect what God is clearly showing us, weather knowingly or unknowingly He may begin to Prompt us a little harder each time. God will not give up on us and even though it pains him to see us going through hard time, like any loving Farther, He may need to give us a wake up call, a big shock to the system even if it hurts us at the time,

 its all to do with our attitude. And how we live our lives not just on the surface but inside us.  no matter what we do in life we first need to remember to sort out out own problems first. Mat 7:1  Don't condemn others, and God won't condemn you.
Mat 7:2  God will be as hard on you as you are on others! He will treat you exactly as you treat them. 
Mat 7:3  You can see the speck in your friend's eye, but you don't notice the log in your own eye. 
Mat 7:4  How can you say, "My friend, let me take the speck out of your eye," when you don't see the log in your own eye? 
Mat 7:5  You're nothing but show-offs! First, take the log out of your own eye. Then you can see how to take the speck out of your friend's eye. 
we can see form this passage in Matthew that we need to sort out our own problems first and become right with God before we can be in a good place to help others out. If we have a bad attitude that is not sorted out God will return us the same attitude back to show us.

It also says in Proverbs this
Pro 16:18  Pride leads to destruction, and arrogance to downfall.
Pro 16:19  It is better to be humble and stay poor than to be one of the arrogant and get a share of their loot.
Pro 16:20  Pay attention to what you are taught, and you will be successful; trust in the LORD and you will be happy.
Pro 16:21  A wise, mature person is known for his understanding. The more pleasant his words, the more persuasive he is.
Pro 16:22  Wisdom is a fountain of life to the wise, but trying to educate stupid people is a waste of time.
Pro 16:23  Intelligent people think before they speak; what they say is then more persuasive.
Pro 16:24  Kind words are like honey---sweet to the taste and good for your health.
Pro 16:25  What you think is the right road may lead to death.
We can clearly see here that if we are full of pride it can easily lead to our downfall if we do not sort it out, we need to practice humility and listen to what God is telling us again through friends and others, the bible, church etc. if we are doing these good things and exercising the wisdom that God is teaching us then we will go far in life. Speak gently and be kind to everyone as this will defiantly cause less hassle to us. And we are not always right in what we do either.

So as Christians don't neglect our walk with God and we will go far in life.

Interesting weekend. On Saturday i went to Hamilton to see hot air balloons. Was great left at 6.30am got home at 10.30pm. Went even hot to the Hamilton gardens. Was good.
On Sunday got go to air new Zealand open day. Friend of friend works there so we could get in. Was great to see all the behind seen places of some planes and the workshops where things go on.

Wow i just got back from the David Hogan meeting at Horizon Church. Wow what a preacher. And what a ministry he has in Mexico healing the sick and raising the dead. How sad

How sad once again for the people of Chrstchurch. Once again they face disaster. You may have been there, or have friends and family there. Our allies from around the world are sending the much needed help. We thank them very much for their help. Most of all we need to PRAY for the wellbeing and safety of everyone affected.

My flylady order

My order from the Flylady website has come today i love it the rubber brushes and cleaning cloths are great. they will come in handy for all the cleaning jobs around the house. thanks to the fly flybuddies

English Language Confusion.

has anyone ever noticed how the English language has changed over the years, with all the localised slang terms around the world, also with the introduction of texting it has broken down again language. also Even with a language common like English its confusing having different spelling differences such as USA and British. then there is the blessed auto spelling checker that cat always detect the differences between the English countries and slang either. its so confusing even words which sound the same are spelled differently. and sometimes words that spell the same sound different. 

When it all boils down to it if we do understand each other then its fine.

Can you improve.

To all my friends, family and others who know me.

Its interesting how things can end up controlling us. Before long, even if we don't know it, we can be in a bad way.
We don't know how bad things are until someone points it out. It pays  to think about it. If others say similar things about you really need to listen. Remember your friends and family only want the best for you.
The next thing is to do something about it. Do you know where to start, does it all seem to big to deal with. First you may need to reach out and ask for some help. This is not always an easy thing to do. It shows we are weak, vulnerable and things have fallen apart. How badly do you want to change.
The easiest thing to Remember is to not panic, start with little steps and do one thing at a time. May God bless you in your journey to improving the things that you need to work on.

If we surrender

If we surrender our lives 2 Jesus them we will never be the same. It is more than saying a prayer, going to church on Sunday. It means changing your life. Change god you act, what you say and do. Surrender your mind, will, and emotions over every day.

Cleaning

Finally after several weeks I have begun cleaning once again. My kitchen had a good start clean-up again.

Life is doing ok.

I really need to keep on going even though all boundaries and just do it. Being clean, tidy and happy is a far better thing than, messy and depressed.
